This January, communities across the country will celebrate an annual day of service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. HCA historic sites and museums will be collecting donated items for local charities in commemoration.

About two years ago, researchers began a focused search for all who lived at the John Dickinson Plantation. In some cases, those forgotten figures chose to live on the property. Others had no choice. Now, researchers have a list of historical names.

Event provides visitors with an opportunity to experience seafaring lives of adventure, romance, excitement and hardships, and to honor mariners who made the ultimate sacrifice.
