The Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs is currently seeking qualified applicants for the following positions:

Physical Plant Maintenance Supervisor

Based at the division’s maintenance facility in Dover, this full-time position supervises the maintenance of a wide variety of historic and modern facilities, including grounds and physical properties, held by the division. Consider joining the team to manages projects at properties throughout the state of Delaware.

Accounting Specialist

Based at 21 The Green in Dover, this full-time position is responsible for providing the division with fiscal, financial and auditing support.

Conservation Technician III

Based at Buena Vista: A Delaware Country Estate, located at 661 S. Dupont Highway (Route 13) south of New Castle, this full-time position is responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding state-owned properties and facilities. Key duties include all aspects of landscape management and routine garden maintenance as well as conservation/ preservation activities on state properties. Consider joining our horticulture team to manage garden, grounds and landscape projects at properties in New Castle and Kent counties held by the division.

Guest Services Associate (Executive Housekeeper)

Based at Buena Vista: A Delaware Country Estate, located at 661 S. Dupont Highway (Route 13) south of New Castle, this part-time position works with guests in the setup, management and breakdown of meetings and events at the conference center. Excellent customer service, beverage and food service and facility cleaning are all responsibilities of the position.

Museum/Historic Site Interpreter

Based at the New Castle Court House Museum located at 211 Delaware St. in New Castle, the part-time position of museum historic-site interpreter is responsible for conducting tours and special programming, and providing in-depth information about Delaware’s first court and state capitol which was built in 1732.
