Plan Your 2027 Event at Buena Vista

Looking for a venue that offers more than four walls and a meeting room?  Operated by the Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs (HCA), Buena Vista Conference Center in New Castle, Delaware, provides a distinctive setting where historic elegance, natural beauty and modern functionality come together to create a memorable experience for every gathering.

One of the most unique features of Buena Vista Conference Center is its historic atmosphere.  Unlike a conventional meeting facility, Buena Vista offers a sense of place that adds character to professional gatherings, educational programs, receptions, retreats, and special events.  The mansion and surrounding grounds provide an inviting backdrop for occasions where the setting matters just as much as the event itself.

Buena Vista is more than a conference destination; it is also a place that inspires artistic expression and appreciation of its historic surroundings.

The Sunshine Plein Air Artists have visited the property to paint the mansion and its grounds, capturing the beauty and character of the estate through their artwork.  Photography and photoshoots are also welcomed by appointment, giving photographers and individuals the opportunity to capture the property’s distinctive architecture and scenic setting.

For those who are interested in learning more about the estate, fees and event parameters, tours prior to your event are available by appointment.  These experiences offer an opportunity to explore the property’s history, learn about its former residents, and gain a deeper appreciation for its place in Delaware’s heritage.

These activities reflect Buena Vista’s continued role as a place where history, culture, creativity and community intersect.

When planning your next event, consider a venue that offers both practical purpose and historic character.  Buena Vista Conference Center invites organizations and individuals to discover the possibilities of hosting their next gathering at this distinctive Delaware estate.
