Digital updates coming to the State Historic Tax Credit Program
The Delaware Historic Preservation Tax Credit program will soon make major innovations in the way applications are received and reviewed. Over the last several years, the Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs’ State Historic Preservation Office has worked with a developer to prepare an online electronic submission process for the tax credit program. Going digital will provide a more user-friendly experience for applicants and streamline the review process.
Once the system goes live later this year, applicants and consultants will digitally submit applications through an online portal. Users will be able to check the status of their applications in real time and request technical assistance through the online portal.
State Historic Preservation Office staff plan to offer training sessions, updated guidance documents and a “how-to” video in preparation for the launch of the new online system.
