Delaware's 23rd annual Chautauqua, “The I’s Have It: Industry, Innovation, and Invention,” Sept. 9–12, 2021 More Info
On Nov. 7, 2020, the New Castle Court House Museum announced the winner of its virtual “Uniquely New Castle” photo contest which challenged amateur photographers to submit images of what makes Delaware’s first capital city unique.
And the winner of the contest is …
Submissions to “Uniquely New Castle” were accepted online between Oct. 18 and 31, 2020 with a total of 18 photos entered in the contest. These images were posted on the museum’s Facebook page where followers were asked to “vote” for the winning photograph by “liking” or reacting to the individual photos. Votes were collected for one week from Nov. 1 to 7, 2020. The photo that earned the most reactions — “Ticket Booth on a Snowy Day” — was named the winner of the contest and its photographer, Savannah Bellon, was awarded a prize pack by the museum.
Due to outstanding public response in 2020, the museum plans to make the contest an annual event.
