WELCOME TO BELMONT HALL |
![]() |
Conveniently located in Kent County, historic Belmont Hall is a fine example of homes built in the region during the late eighteenth century. Thomas Collins, Governor of Delaware from 1786 to 1789, commissioned the house to be built as it stands today and held the first Delaware Assembly at Belmont Hall. A painting currently hangs in the Dining Room depicting this historic event. Belmont Hall was acquired by the state, restored in the early 1990’s and opened as a conference center in 1992. |
Belmont Hall is the perfect place to host working retreats, training seminars or just to get away from the office and work in a quiet, historic setting. A portico on the south side of the building offers a beautiful view of the gardens and guests are encouraged to enjoy the surrounding grounds. Located on the corner of Routes 13 and 12 Belmont Hall is just minutes from Route 1 and the business district of Smyrna.
This lovely historic building offers four small intimate rooms for your meeting needs. The Conference Room conveniently located on the ground level features large bay windows that overlook a lovely south garden. Just a few steps up the center hall is the Dining Room where Thomas Collins, President of Delaware from 1786 until his death in 1789, held legislative sessions for the state. The Speakman Suite on the second floor offers comfortable seating with a center table for small groups who are looking for a quiet, private setting.
