Photographer Position
Qualifications
We are looking for creative, self-motivated volunteers who can work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Knowledge and passion for history is a plus! Must be reliable and flexible, and experience and/or education in photography preferred.
Sites
All sites throughout the state of Delaware.
Timeframe
Photography assignments are on an as-needed basis. We will work as best as we can to accommodate the volunteer’s schedule, however assignments may be weather contingent and will also depend on the site’s schedules, including the dates and times of special events.
Activities and Responsibilities
- Capture the spirit of events and historic sites through various photographic techniques.
- Able to take artistic direction.
- Able to work with little direction.
- Produce quality photographs within a timely manner.
- Other opportunities which have been discussed, assigned, and agreed upon between the volunteer and the site supervisor.
Other Requirements
Must be at least 17 years of age, able to provide own transportation, ability to take quality photography for publications, and volunteers will need to provide their own camera. All potential volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application.
Supervision
Volunteers will report to the Volunteer Services Coordinator.

Opportunity to build your photography portfolio! Photography credit will be given when used. Active volunteers are invited to attend an annual recognition event in which individuals will be recognized for the valuable work and contribution. Recognition items and certificated will be awarded based on hours contributed throughout the year.
Working Conditions
This volunteer opportunity may require travel at the volunteer’s expense as well as outdoor conditions.
