Museum professionals visit the CMC

Professionals with the Delaware Museum Association visit the state Center for Material Culture.

The Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs (HCA) was honored to host the Delaware Museum Association for its end-of-summer meeting this year. The event was held at the Center for Material Culture, HCA’s collections storage facility.

The Delaware Museum Association brings together museum professionals from across the state to share ideas and make connections. The curation and design team had the chance to share how HCA cares for and stores its collections, as well as how staff create the exhibits that allow the state to share special historic collections with the public.

By building connections with other museums, HCA has new opportunities to work collectively with these institutions to share and preserve the history and culture of the First State.
