During the week of April 22, a film crew from PBS visited the New Castle Court House Museum, Cooch’s Bridge Historic Site, John Dickinson Plantation, the Old State House and the Zwaanendael Museum to shoot segments for an upcoming series on their long-running show, Travels with Darley, titled “Revolutionary Road Trip.”

Filming began on April 23 at the New Castle Court House Museum, and featured staff from each of the Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs’ (HCA) sites sharing interpretations about Delaware in the 1700s. Other sites on the Delaware road trip included The Grand Opera House in Wilmington, the Deer Park Tavern in Newark, the Hagley Museum and Library and the Nanticoke Indian Museum in Millsboro. The series starts airing in winter 2024, and will cover various sites along the East Coast significant to Revolutionary history.
