Celebrating Delaware Day 2023 through photographs
Delaware’s rich history was celebrated once again from Dec. 7-30, 2023, through the Delaware Day Adventure contest, which challenged visitors to the state’s five museums to submit photos of their trips for a chance to win Delaware-themed prizes.
Known as “Delaware Day,” the Dec. 7 holiday marks the moment in 1787 when Delaware became the first state to ratify the U.S. Constitution, giving it fame as the “First State” in the nation.
The contest was sponsored by the Delaware Department of State through the Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs (HCA) and the Delaware Tourism Office. Check out some of the talented entries below:
