‘Demystifying Historic Preservation’ symposium

The Sussex County Association of Realtors will host a day-long symposium on historic preservation in Delaware on Tuesday, Nov. 22.

The event, which is designed for realtors, developers and local officials, is open to the public and will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sussex County Association of Realtors office at 23407 Park Ave. in Georgetown. Space is limited and registration is required by signing up here.

Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer Gwen Davis, along with representatives from Sussex County and the University of Delaware’s Center for Historic Architecture & Design, will serve on a panel exploring historic preservation and its importance. The event will also look more closely at the economics of historic preservation, as well as feature panelists discussing local preservation specifically in Sussex County and municipalities such as Lewes and Milton. The event will conclude with a question and answer session.
