Cooch’s Bridge homestead to host public tours

Join historical interpreters to explore the history of the Cooch’s Bridge Historic Site during the Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs’ tours of the homestead. Spots have nearly been filled for the first 2022 tour on Saturday, May 14, and limited spaces remain on the 10 a.m. tour. Future tours are planned and dates will be announced soon. Learn from state experts about some of the individuals who lived on the property, how they shaped the land around them and how the location played a role in American history.

The homestead is located at 961 Old Baltimore Pike in Newark. Tours will be held at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and are limited to 20 visitors per tour. Tours are free, but reservations are required by registering online here, calling 302-922-7116 or emailing coochsbridgehistoricsite@gmail.com.
