Winner of 2021 New Castle photo contest announced
On Nov. 9, 2021, the New Castle Court House Museum announced the winner of its second annual “Uniquely New Castle” photo contest which challenged amateur photographers to submit images of what makes Delaware’s first capital city unique.

Submissions to “Uniquely New Castle” were accepted online between Oct. 17 and 31, 2021 with a total of 21 photos entered in the contest. These images were posted on the museum’s Facebook page where followers were asked to “vote” for the winning photograph by “liking” or reacting to the individual photos. Votes were collected for one week from Nov. 1 to 7, 2021. The photo that earned the most reactions — “Cold Winter” — was named the winner of the contest and its photographer, Paula McHugh, was awarded a prize by the museum. McHugh’s photo will be displayed across all of the museum’s social media platforms.
