Delaware State Review Board for Historic Preservation meeting to take place on April 17, 2019
Members of the public are invited to attend the next meeting of the Delaware State Review Board for Historic Preservation which will take place on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 10 a.m. to Noon, in the Delaware Room of the Delaware Public Archives located at 121 Martin Luther King Blvd. North in Dover, Del.
As part of the meeting, the review board will discuss the amended nomination for the Eleutherian Mills-Hagley Historic District in Wilmington to the National Register of Historic Places. After discussing the nomination, the meeting will feature “Beautiful and Unique Christ Church, Broad Creek,” a review of research conducted for the church’s National Historic Landmark nomination by Dr. Susanne Fox; and “How Oral History Brought Light to a Forgotten Hall: Uncovering an Unmarked African American Cemetery” by John Martin, cultural preservation specialist for the Delaware State Historic Preservation Office. Written comments should be submitted prior to the meeting date. Oral comments and questions will be invited during the meeting.
