This 1 ½ hour experience begins with an orientation in the visitor center, followed by a tour of the recreated log’d dwelling and a mile round-trip walk to the African Burial Ground which is believed to be the final resting place for enslaved and free Black men, women and children who died on the plantation. Guests will engage with guides about the historical context and archaeological research of the site. Program recommended for persons aged 13 or older. In the event of inclement weather, program may be cancelled. Admission free but reservations required by calling 302-739-3277. Activity cancelled due to inclement weather.
