DESCRIPTION:From Sept. 2-6\, 2025\, the Zwaanendael Museum in Lewes will host a week-long food drive in honor of National Food Bank Day. National Food Bank Day\, held on Sept. 5 this year\, is dedicated to raising awareness about food insecurity and how important food banks are to the local community.\n\n \n\nDuring the week of Sept. 2-6\, visitors to the Zwaanendael Museum are encouraged to bring a canned good with them. Donations may be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. All items will be donated to the Food Bank of Delaware.\n\n \n\nSome of the Food Banks’ most needed items are peanut butter\, canned fruits and vegetables\, rice and pasta.
