Division seeks maintenance/trades mechanic and historic-site interpreter

The Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs is currently seeking qualified applicants for the positions of maintenance/trades mechanic and museum/historic-site interpreter. Job applications are available by going to the Delaware Employment Link.

Based at the division’s maintenance facility in Dover, the Physical Plant Maintenance/Trades Mechanic I will be responsible for completing basic repairs in several trade fields and performing routine preventative maintenance and repair work at the semi-skilled level. Based at the Zwaanendael Museum in Lewes, the historic-site interpreter will serve as one of the museum’s front-line connections with the public, adding a human face to Delaware history. Through tours and special programming, the historic-site interpreter will provide in-depth information about Delaware’s historic places and help bring the people and events of the past to life. Application opening date: Jan. 30, 2019. Closing date: Feb. 12, 2019.
